Nimbus Reveals the Sport Coupe 35 Ahead of boot Dusseldorf 2027 Debut
Swedish boat builder Nimbus Group has revealed the Sport Coupe 35, a new model that blends the speed and handling of a sport cruiser with the all-year comfort of a coupe. The Nimbus Sport Coupe 35 will make its world premiere at boot Dusseldorf, which runs from 23 to 31 January 2027.
Three Models on One Hull
The Sport Cruiser 35 series is built around a single hull with three versions: the Sport Tender, the Sport Weekender and now the Sport Coupe. All three share the twin-stepped, air-lubricated hull of the Sport Tender 35, which debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026 and has since been nominated for European Powerboat of the Year 2027.
According to Nimbus, the design combines the sport cruiser’s fast, dry-running hull and minimal-part construction with the coupe’s enclosed saloon, where passengers travel together in comfort regardless of the weather.
Designed for Living Onboard
The boat is aimed at owners who want one boat for everything: day trips, fishing, swimming and overnight stays. Three multifunctional living areas cover that brief. The foredeck seats up to eight around a table, while the aft deck has an L-shaped sofa that converts between dining and sun bed, a fold-out side balcony and an integrated canopy.

Inside, the galley sits on the same level as the dinette, which converts for dining, lounging and sleeping. Below deck there is a forward cabin, a mid cabin and a head with shower, so the boat can genuinely work for weekend cruising, not just day boating.
The asymmetrical Sidewalk deck layout, used on most Nimbus coupes, gives an extra-wide starboard side deck and more interior space. A new side door at the helm and a side gate in the hull give direct access to the quay, and joystick docking is offered as an option.
Engine Options and Pricing Signals
Nimbus is offering Mercury outboard power, either a single V10 or twin V8 300 engines, or a Volvo Penta D6 inboard diesel. Full specifications and pricing will be presented at the Dusseldorf world premiere.

What This Means for UK Boat Buyers
New model launches like the Nimbus Sport Coupe 35 matter to UK buyers in two ways. First, a brand-new premium cruiser sets a benchmark for the current-year market, and buyers shopping the 35-foot segment will want to compare new-model features against existing dealer stock, which can unlock discounts on previous-year boats once the new model lands.
Second, financing a new boat at this level is a major commitment. Buyers should compare total costs, not just the brochure price: engine choice, options and extras all change the amount financed. Before ordering, run the numbers with a boat loan calculator to see how price, deposit, APR and term shape the monthly repayment, and use a boat affordability calculator to make sure the budget covers insurance, berthing, fuel and maintenance too.
For buyers considering larger motorboats or yachts in this price bracket, a yacht loan calculator can help model longer repayment terms and higher-value purchases. And when new models arrive, well-priced previous-year boats often appear on the used market as owners upgrade, which is worth factoring into any buying timeline.
